Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is an notable infrastructure project created by the Government of India. Its primary vision is to expand the economic corridor from Delhi to Mumbai, covering a distance of 1504 kilometers and passing through several states. This project which is started by the Government of India covers six indian states which contains Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

DMIC in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the DMIC project focuses on a prime location called Dholera SIR. It covers a significant part of Gujarat, about 62% of the state’s total area. It has an impact on 23 out of the 33 districts in Gujarat.

Major cities along the DMIC include Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat. Approximately one-third, of the total investment for the DMIC will be directed towards Gujarat. This investment is expected to create job opportunities for around 800,000 people.

The ports of Gujrat will play a crucial role in serving both foreign and local markets. Efforts are being made to establish top-notch connectivity between the ports, various nodes, and the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).

The accruate numbers are not possible to know right now but it is estimated to be $90 Billion. Keep in mind that this is an estimated number of DMIC total cost.
